Sheds

At Oakenclough Buildings we will build and supply everything from a budget garden shed for the storage of a few simple items , to a large workshop for day to day use. We can build any size and any shape or use any door and window configuration that you require. Sheds can be customised or manufactured to suit every taste and pocket. Including a double door for versatility allows the building to be used for a wide variety of purposes such as storage of a sit on lawn mower. If security is an issue we offer a range of steel re-inforced doors and window grilles to guard against an unwanted intruder, and as standard all our doors come with mortice locks, mortice and tenon joints and rebated hinges.

Corner sheds also provide a practical solution to that awkward space at the bottom of the garden, as well as being a focal point in an otherwise unused part of your garden. Gardeners often require both storage and a place to grow , so using additional glass can adapt a shed to create a potting area or alternatively we can design and build a custom made solar shed or potting shed to suit your requirements. All sheds are constructed with pressure treated timber (tanalised) pine throughout (excluding door and window frames), and roofed with 45KG green mineral felt. Our sheds are manufactured using 75mm x 50mm framework to the floor, walls and roof. Floors have 22mm nominal tongue and groove providing a robust and strong structure, strong enough for heavy machinery and most motorbikes.

Additional bearers can be added if required. Roofs are made with 16mm matchboard that has been pressure treated. This allows for the roof to be repaired if the felt is damaged. Many manufacturers use OSB on the roof which if it gets wet means the roof cannot be repaired should the felt be damaged. Therefore an Oakenclough building should outlast a typical garden building.
